Far into the Shadowrealm on an extremely placid lake lies the Dark Citadel.This almost normal looking palace reaches high into the eternal night sky of Shadowrealm. Within the onyx stones of this seemingly normal palace resides the Angels of Shadowrealm.The Citadel was created by the first ShadowKnight, Adnarel.He used special onyx stones that seemed to absorb, focus and emit energy to create The dark Citadel allowing him to channel his power through the wall causing an immense blast. Adnarel used this massive Citadel as a home base to guard against the demon king known only as the Dark Eternal. Within the centuries that have passed this Citadel was destroyed in an enormous raid by the Dark Eternal with hundreds of thousands of demons.

Now about 300,000 years later Damian Walker the 15th ShadowKnight found the area that was home of the Citadel. He rebuilt the Dark Citadel careful to use the same stones and design that Adnarel did. Now that the Citadel is finished Damian learned its true purpose. The lake was not a lake at all. The Citadel was built upon a null point in the dimensional fabric. Here the Onyx stones allowed the Citadel to stand whereas any other material used would cause the Citadel to be shred into atoms. The denizens of the Dark Citadel were now able to look and travel into other dimensions using the Citadels massive power.

The Citadel is guarded by magical means. The Runes carved into the walls also allow the Palace to project a massive Gate-Barrier when combined with some technology provided by the StarAngel, Jon Telgar. This barrier has been very useful in protecting the Citadel from the hordes of demons that constantly attack the Citadel itself. Along with this barrier a massive black dragon named Shadowrea guards the Citadel. Shadowrea is 500ft long, 6 ton, Shadow-flame breathing dragon. Her scales are tough enough to sustain a nuclear blast and are flexible enough to let the Shadowrea movee with incredible speed and agility.The shadowflame she breaths burns at 400,000 degree's incenerating things easily.Also Shadowrea is only loyal to the Angels and her Immense inborn willpower prevents her from being mind-controlled. Jon also devised a series of RFPC (Rapid Fire Plasma Cannons) along the bridge and on some of the spires of the Citadel.these cannons are prevented from killing friendlies by a bio-scan and energy-scouter that tells friend from foe. Jon finally outdid himself by adding a small reflex cannon on the toughest and tallest spire allowing it a great range of fire. Unfortunately though it an only fire once every 72 hours but the efects of this shot is devastating. When these technolgies are combined with the massive energies and magical powers of the Citadel and Angels, it proves nearly impregnable.
